President Brian Chamberlin Named CEO of Andover State Bank

Andover State Bank announced a series of leadership changes related to the bank’s succession plan designed to position the bank for continued growth and focus on customer service.

President Brian Chamberlin was named CEO. He has served as President since joining the bank seven years ago as part of the next generation of senior management.

Chamberlin will continue to work closely with Bank Chairman Kirk McConachie and the Board of Directors, which also includes the next generation of McConachie family.

As part of that succession plan, Jeff Grace has been named Vice Chairman. Grace has served on the bank board of directors for 10 years. Grace most recently served as President of IMA’s commercial brokerage business. Grace is McConachie’s son-in-law.

Allison McConachie Grace has been with the bank for 17 years and will continue to serve as CFO, a position she has held since 2005. Grace has served on the Board for the last 20 years.

“It’s exciting to watch the next generation of our employees and our family step up,” McConachie said. “For more than 100 years, we’ve been here to serve the Andover community and beyond. This team will continue its tradition of taking care of our customers and being involved in the Andover and Wichita communities.”

Chamberlin began his career with Fourth Financial Corporation, Bank IV’s holding company at the time, and was promoted throughout his career there, eventually serving as senior vice president of commercial lending at Bank of America, the eventual successor of Bank IV, until his departure in 2001. Prior to joining Andover State Bank, Chamberlin served in various other bank executive positions in Wichita.

“I’ve watched and been part of banking changes during my entire career, and I look forward to the opportunity to play an even greater leadership role at Andover State Bank,” Chamberlin said.  “I’m honored that the Board has entrusted me in this important role as we continue to execute our planned growth strategies.”

Andover State Bank was founded more than 100 years ago. Its main bank is at 511 North Andover Road and also has a branch at 1718 North Webb Road.
