Andover State Bank Appoints New CFO

WICHITA, Kan. — Andover State Bank announced today that Abi Griffin has been named chief financial officer. As CFO, Griffin will direct the bank’s overall financial objectives and strategies while overseeing operational policy and procedure, human resources, information technology and marketing efforts.

Griffin joins Andover State Bank from Flint Hills Resources, where she performed finance and corporate development functions for more than 15 years. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in finance at Oklahoma State University.

In addition to being a Wichita Business Journal 40 Under 40 alumna, she has served the Wichita community through her involvement with the Junior League of Wichita, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland and Young Professionals of Wichita.

“We look for people like Abi who embody our core values,” said Allison Grace, president of Andover State Bank. “She brings a combination of proven financial experience, excellence in business leadership and a passion for community engagement. I’m confident in her ability to help us elevate the bank and the community to higher levels of success. When one rises, so does the other.”

“Few banks invest in local relationships as consistently and across so many generations,” Griffin said. “I remember participating in ASB’s Popcorn Loans program when I was in the second grade. My daughters also participated.”

During the program, loan officers help elementary school students start their own mock popcorn company with a business loan. Andover State Bank started Popcorn Loans in 1984, and the program continues to this day.

“Looking back, that experience was an authentic portrayal of the brand,” Griffin said. “ASB is a friend to local businesses. Its relationship-driven service attracted me to join the team, and I’m excited to help them achieve their growth and profit initiatives.”
